Our U13 Boys Team played Coole FC in Lynch Park earlier this evening and the game didn't disappoint. Our boys had the better of the early exchanges and played some lovely football but could not find a way through a stubborn Coole FC defence. Despite our dominance, it was the visiting team who scored first with a well taken goal before halftime. Our boys regrouped and put Coole FC under continuous pressure in searching for an equaliser. Shannon Town were rewarded when Liam Hogan scored with a great strike from long range to equalise following great build up play from Craig Vincent and David Brownson. The game remained very tight for the last quarter with both teams taking a share of the spoils in the end. Thanks to Coole FC for a great game and our large number of supporters who kept on encouraging the boys who are progressing really well.
