Shannon Town U12's White team hosted a very in form Avenue yellow team in the Clare cup this evening with the away team progressing to the next stage, The opening exchanges were very tight with Avenue going ahead after 12 minutes our defence battled very hard with Jamie Watson and Daniel Brown taking great control in the center back positions. This brought Avenue further out the field, but with the lads playing in the adults goals every strike on goal was always going to go in. The lads kept their heads up and got their reward from a corner and great work from Daniel Brown and a couple of ricochet seen the ball end up in the back of the net.The second half was very much the same as the first half with a couple of early exchanges and great tackle's saw Avenue being awarded a penalty, this was the general theme for the rest of the match. Shannon Town introduced all the bench and everyone enjoyed the game and experience. It wasn't our day but we played a team that is two divisions higher than ourselves and fought for every ball and never gave up, we now move onto the shield with great expectations, well done lads you did your club proud tonight.

Our U12s Blue Team had a convincing win against Corofin in the cup last night. Well done to all involved.
