Our U13s Boys earned a hard fought point on their travels to Lisdoonvarna earlier this evening playing Burren Utd. Our boys started the game the brighter and played some lovely football. A well deserved opening goal came from a corner, whipped in by Liam Hogan that found the head of Joey Carrig who glanced a header into the net to put Town up 1.0. The game became an even contest as Burren pushed for an equaliser but found Calvin McGuinness and Craig Vincent in great form at the back for Town. However on the stroke of halftime, a long ball wasn't dealt with and the Burren centre forward nipped in but was pulled back in the box. Penalty was converted to put the sides level. Town came out fighting in the 2nd half driven on by Matthew Cabida and Jack Richter in the middle of the park but unfortunately, they couldn't find a winner. The game finished 1.1 but our boys were fantastic and great to see them getting stronger with every game. Well done boys.
