Shannon Town would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made our first 10K/5K run & walk such a success yesterday. It was a fantastic day. Special thank you to the 21 runners in the 10K and 60 who took part in the 5K. 

Thank you to our sponsors EI,Mowhawk and Mike Duggan Fruit  and to Richie O'Donnell for supplying the timer for the 10K race. 

We would like to say thank you to St Senan's School, Dunnes Stores,the Shannon FIre Brigade and the Order of Malta . 

Also a big thank you to our fabulous marshalls yesterday they were Michelle Ryan, Tony Walsh, Jason Begley, Caroline Shea, Shannon Byrnes, Brian Punch, Nicole Byrnes, Sean Doherty, Siobhan O'Brien, Val O'Callaghan, Ollie Alford, Kevin Nolan, Rosie & Elaine O'Shaughnessy, Theresa McDade, Jonelle Waller, Michelle Pyke, Mick & Carol O'Kane, Louise & Ger McNamara, Gary Cook, Bill Boyd, Moira O'Donnell, David and Liam Hogan. And of course not forgetting the wonderful Peggy Kelly who gave out the hard earned cups of tea and coffee afterwards.
