Our U11s Boys made the trip to a much fancied BT Harps in Templemore earlier today to play in the National Cup. Preparations went very well during the week and our boys started the game really well, putting BT Harps on the backfoot. Both sides had to settle for half chances throughout the 1st half where it remained 0.0 at the interval. BT Harps grew stronger in the 2nd half and created some good openings but found Jake Geary in top form with one particular save drawing gasps from the big crowd attending. However, BT Harps took the lead from a well worked move, giving Jake no chance. Our lads never stopped pushing for the equaliser but just never got the luck they needed. The game finished 1.0 and our boys should be very proud of their efforts against a very strong side. Evan Power and Jake Geary were outstanding throughout and a special word of thanks to BT Harps for their hospitality afterwards. Finally, our supporters never stopped encouraging our boys throughout and thanks again for travelling in your numbers. Well done again boys!!
