Trying to build on there excellent win last Weekend the B team travelled to Lees Road Wednesday evening to take on Rhine Rovers who came up from Division2 last season. The away men started the game well putting together some nice passages of play trying to get in behind the back line of Rhine. With that the Town men made the breakthrough on the 20 minute mark when Jamie Doyle played a through ball to Jamie Hodge to see him calmly slot passed the Rhine keeper to make it 1-0. Rhine fighting back themselves just on the stroke of half when a pop shot outside the box saw the Town Keeper fail to push the effort around the post and see it hit the net.

The 2nd half saw the game open up and see both teams trying to counter attack at every opportunity they got. Gary Cusack nearly made it 2-1 when his half volley after a corner kick was cleared off the line. The Town wingers getting joy out wide saw Jamie Hodge break free of his man on the left wing and whip a perfect cross into the box to see Adrian Carew volley past the Rhine keeper to make it 2-1. As the Town men tried to hold off a late rally from the Home side a long ball pumped into the Town box in the 90th minute ended up skipping past the Town keeper and see the Rhine player pass into an open goal 2-2 it finished on the night.
