Shannon Town U9's travelled to Cassidy Park last night to take on Lifford in the CSSL U9 League.

A cracking performance by both teams but have to admit Shannon Town were far superior on the night. Every single player gave 100% right to the very end. The passing of the ball and link up play was amazing between Shay Waller, Adam Daly, Jamie Grace and Jacob Chrusciel (Kuba) in midfield and certainly could have scored alot more than they did. Defensively were rock solid with Holly O'Brien, Darrell Pyke and Liam Heffernan commanding the play. Kyle McInerney in goals once again pulled off some spectacular saves, as he has done so many times this season, to prevent Lifford from making any sort of comeback.

Although we were missing a few players in Kevin Hanley, Jamie MacLaughlin, Jacob Setkowski, Colin Gemmell, Liam Roche and Mark Quinton they played the full 50 minutes fighting for every ball until the end.

A great bunch of kids, great attitude and certainly a team to keep an eye on for the future.
