Our U12 Boys provided a large crowd in Lynch Park with an entertaining game of football against their local rivals, Newmarket Celtic. Played in wet conditions, Newmarket started the better with some lovely passing but found our keepers Tomas Dooley and Max Wegrzyn in great form with some superb handling in difficult conditions. Shannon Town got a foothold in the game with Matthew Cabida and Leon Sulaiman linking up very well in midfield. Our defence stood firm with Calvin McGuinness, Corey Reidy, Tommy Brennan, Leon Murphy, Charlie Glynn and Craig Vincent in fine form. Callen O Neill opened his account for the year with a well taken goal following good work from Liam Hogan who also got on the scoresheet after great work from Joey Carrig. Sean McCabe and Tyler Quinn also impressed on the night. Well done boys and good luck to Newmarket Celtic who were a fantastic bunch of lads!!
