Shannon Town Under 16’s A team began their league campaign with a long trip away to Mountshannon last Tuesday.

Shannon Town started brightly dominating possession and created chance after chance but failed to put the ball in the net.

Sean Murphy ⚽️ finally scored the opening goal with an accurate shot from just inside the box and Luke Keating ⚽️doubled the lead soon after.

The second half began similar to the first with Shannon Town going close on numerous occasions to scoring a third goal, but when Mountshannon scored midway through the second half it made for a very uncomfortable final 20 minutes. The Shannon Town team kept their composure for a well deserved win.
