An incredible evening of drama we are all immensely proud of the young girls tonight. Shannon Town scored first, a lovely angled throw in by Courtney Behan, crossed by Kate Lee and a poachers goal by Rubi Murphy. 1-0. 3 minutes before half time Corofin equalised. It was nip and tuck throughout the second half and some outstanding saves by Rhiann Murphy kept it at 1-1 at the end of normal time after some really fine football and super determination. With fading light CSSL Instruction is for penalties. Unfortunately we were beaten 5-4 after sudden death and each team took 11 penalties EACH and 2 of ours whacked off the crossbar. We had 11 year olds take penalties professionals wouldn’t manage. They all showed incredible bravery for such young girls. We have a Shield Competition now onwards & upwards
