Shannon Town Ladies became Dvision 2B Champions tonight with a fantastic 5 nil win at home in corrib drive against contenders Herbertstown.

Shannon took an early lead with a great through ball from Kathy Whelan to Megan Kelly who rounded the keeper and finished expertly. The Town went 2 up with a great cross from Shelly Goggin and when the keeper fumbled Megan again was on hand to finish.10 minutes into the second half Shannon Town went 3 up with a fantastic 35 yard free kick from Shelly Goggin. With a very strong bench Shannon were able to make plenty of changes and kept the pressure up. Shelly scored again after being nicely set up from Zelika Brown. The Town rounded off the scoring when a deflected shot from Zelika fell to Chloe Malone and she finished well. Shannon are crowned champions of 2B!!.
